What is Granola?
Granola is actually a brand name thought to be derived from the word “grain”, meaning grain. It was a registered trademark in America in the late 19th century for foods consisting of whole grain products. It is a
breakfast alternative and snack food, mostly made of oats, nuts, honey and other sweeteners, and sometimes crispy, fried and baked in the oven until golden brown. Some add dried fruits and candies. Since the cereal part is crispy during production, it is also called oatmeal cereal. Since it is nutritious and light, it is usually used by people who travel a lot, go on long hikes and camp, because it is easy to store and carry. It definitely serves as a great snack in between meals, as it can be preferred as breakfast. Granolas are usually sold in packaged form, sometimes in the form of bars. We want to give you a different Granola recipe that you can prepare with your own hands at home and consume with peace of mind.
