History of Bread
Bread making is actually as old as civilizations. Bread has been used as
a staple food for a very long time. Milling and baking used in 4000 BC have been revealed in the findings obtained from the excavations. In later years, the Ancient Egyptians noticed that when they added yeast to the dough obtained from a mixture of wheat flour and water, the bread became softer and fluffier. With this state, white bread became a food consumed by the nobility for a while and eventually, bread has survived to the present day and has been accepted as a staple food. After the 1950s, the structure of wheat began to change. With this change, especially in the last ten to fifteen years, alternative flours have been preferred due to gluten intolerance. Today, we will use both quinoa flour and add chia to our delicious bread, and thus we will have
a gluten-free bread .

- Mix the quinoa flour, the mixture you prepared and the chia with a dough blender until it becomes rubbery.
- Cover it and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Knead the dough, make small balls and place them on the oiled tray.
- Leave it on the tray for another 30 minutes to rise.
- Bake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25 minutes, for 20-25 minutes.
Tips for Homemade Chia Quinoa Flour Bread
- Avoid kneading the dough by hand as much as possible. Gluten-free flours require a hard kneading due to their structure. Therefore, if you have a home blender or industrial dough kneading machine, definitely use it.
- Chia and eggs provide moisture and firmness to the bread, without which the dough would be dry and crumbly. If you want to use something else instead of these two ingredients, keep that in mind.
What other ingredients can be added to the Homemade Quinoa Flour Bread Recipe?
- You can add spices such as organic white pepper and organic black pepper to your bread dough.
- You can add flours such as raw buckwheat flour or gluten-free whole oat flour to quinoa flour and achieve different flavors.
