Ingredients Needed for Chia and Quinoa Crunchy Saltine Crackers:

How to Make Chia and Quinoa Crunch?

  • We put the washed quinoa and water in a pot and keep it on high heat until it boils, and after boiling, we cook it on low heat for about half an hour until the quinoa absorbs all the water.
  • While the quinoa is in a mushy consistency, we transfer it to a bowl and while it is hot, we add all the ingredients and mix.
  • We wait for the mixture to cool to room temperature. In the meantime, the mixture will start to become doughy.
  • We spread baking paper on a flat kitchen set, pour half of the mixture, put another baking paper on top and roll it out very thinly with a rolling pin like dough.
  • We carefully separate the top paper, in the meantime we separate the stuck part with a large knife.
  • We cook it in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for approximately 25 minutes.
  • At this point, we take it out of the oven and break the edges so they don't burn.
  • Then we bake the middle part for another 10 minutes to make it crispy. (Our crackers should reach the consistency of chips, not remain soft.)

Tips for Chia and Quinoa Crunchies

  • After the crispy crackers are cooked, leave them outside uncovered for about half an hour. Your crackers will become crispy as they cool.
  • The thinner your dough mixture is, the thinner and crispier the crisps will be.
